The 11th Global Symposium on Advancements in Information Technology (GSAIT) was orchestrated by COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) in Islamabad, Pakistan, from December 16 to 18, 2013. This event marked the continuation of a decade-long tradition of gatherings held in Islamabad.
The symposium received technical backing from the IEEE Islamabad Chapter, the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, and the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Scalable Computing. Notable sponsors of the gathering encompassed the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, the National Testing Service, and the National ICT R&D Fund of Pakistan. Esteemed scholars and researchers from various nations, including Australia, Austria, China, Estonia, Kuwait, Pakistan, the UK, and the USA, graced the occasion with their presence.
FIT-2013: A Gathering of Research Excellence and Rigorous Selection
FIT-2013 witnessed the submission of over 200 research papers, from which 53 were chosen for oral presentations.
This selection followed a rigorous and anonymous evaluation procedure, resulting in an acceptance rate of 28.50%. The twenty-eight technical sessions during the event were led by distinguished scholars and educators.
